Surge Arrester is a device which protects the system or an individual equipment from high voltage, impulse voltages and currents. Arrester mainly protects BIL (Basic insulation level) of a system. Lamco manufactures two types of surge arresters
- Polymer Surge Arrester
- Porcelain Surge Arrester
We at Lamco have more than 35 years of experience in porcelain arresters and 20 years in silicon insulated arresters, the arresters are suitable for all kinds of weather conditions. The designs are type tested according to IEC 60099-4 and comply with all customer specific standards.

A Surge Monitor is a device to the Lightning / Surge Arrester connected in series with it. The Surge Monitor consists of a milli-ammeter which measures the leakage current in continuous operating condition of the Surge Arrester, counter to count the number of Lightning / Surge discharges through the Arrester. The regular monitoring of the Surges through this device helps to understand the frequency of the Surges that
